Applications for legal aid can be submitted online by completing Legal Services Online Legal Aid Application. You can save your application at any stage and return to complete it later. Please note that saved applications must be completed within 14 days.
The Application for Legal Aid Form (PDF, 1.9 MB) is also available to download and complete. This form and supporting documentation should be emailed to lsc.correspondence@lsc.sa.gov.au.
Hard copy legal aid application forms are available from all Legal Services offices, community legal centres, most law firms and the courts. Applications for legal aid can be made directly to Legal Services, or, if a person wishes to be represented by a particular private lawyer, through that lawyer's office.
Email lsc.correspondence@lsc.sa.gov.au with supporting documentation and for anything else, including updating client contact and financial details, requesting an extension and finalising a case.
