Trusted Moments is a film developed by the Legal Services Commission to engage young people in education about the importance of consent and respect in relationships as a strategy for the prevention of sexual assault.

Set at a 17th birthday party, the film draws attention to types of attitudes and behaviour patterns that can lead to sexual assault. It also highlights legal risks associated with using mobile phones for producing and sharing sexually explicit images of young people.

The film is recommended for young people from 15 years of age. It includes some low level depictions of sexual behaviour. Trusted Moments also deals with issues that are relevant to older youth, parents, educators and people working in the area of crime prevention with a focus on sexual assault.

The film may be used as an educational resource with factsheets that introduce young people to basic legal concepts about consent. The factsheets are available on the Factsheets & Publications webpage. Please be aware that these factsheets outline the law for young people in South Australia. The laws for young people are different depending on which State or Territory you are in.
