The Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence has reached a significant milestone

UPDATE: Following the Commissioner Natasha Stott Despoja delivering her report to Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, the Royal Commission has now released its report and recommendations.

With Courage: South Australia's vision beyond violence contains 136 recommendations which will now be considered by the State Government. To read the Royal Commission report visit royalcommissiondfsv.sa.gov.au.

Legal Services delivers programs and services to South Australians with lived experience every day, and we were proud to contribute to the Royal Commission as a trusted voice on legal policy, legislative change, and service delivery in this sector.

Sadly, each year, around 80 per cent of our clients who receive a grant of aid for legal representation in a family law matter have experienced family violence.

We look forward to contributing to the across government response to the Royal Commission, and remain committed to supporting South Australians impacted by domestic and family violence.
