^{Independent Review of the National Legal Assistance Partnership (NLAP) Final Report}

The Independent Review of the National Legal Assistance Partnership (NLAP) Final Report by Dr Warren Mundy was released this week.

The report is a significant body of work which lays out the challenges facing the legal assistance sector, and the urgent need for increased funding to improve access to justice for the most vulnerable members of communities across the nation.

Legal Services welcomes its release and again commends Dr Mundy for his extensive consultation and engagement with the sector, which contributed to the formulation of his final report, through 130 submissions from stakeholders.

The review will inform future funding arrangements ahead of the expiry of the current NLAP Agreement on 30 June 2025.

We look forward to continuing to work with the Commonwealth and State Governments on how best to support the sector to deliver the next NLAP Agreement.
