Legal help available this long weekend

South Australians are being urged to use a 24-7 online legal help tool this Easter long weekend.

The Legal Services Commission’s 24Legal website is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing fast and convenient access to reliable legal information outside of usual business hours.

Legal issues can arise at any time of day and outside of business hours, so it’s important that South Australians have an online resource like 24Legal that they can turn to.

So while our staff who operate our free Legal Helpline take a well-earned break this Easter, we want to assure people that legal help is there when you need it, through our 24Legal service.

Whether it’s an issue with your neighbour and a fence, or you need information on intervention orders, 24Legal has the info you need, written in plain English, at your fingertips.

Our website also has information on family law and our simple, smart online separation tool – amica.

24Legal covers more than 60 common areas of the law, is easy to use, and guides people through common questions and answers.

Since its launch in 2017, 24Legal has become an important tool in Legal Services’ kit bag, providing free and quick access to factual legal information to help the South Austalian community self assess before calling our free Legal Helpline to discuss their issue in greater detail.

As the largest legal assistance organisation in South Australia, we take our responsibilty to the South Australian community very seriously – and offering an online service like 24Legal is part of our commitment to being connected and responsive to our clients and the community.
